Who We Are

Money Pi ("the App", "we", "us") is an AI-powered personal budget tracker. The App is developed and published by i0 Labs, the app division of i0, operated by Sarath Ramesh as the sole proprietor and account holder. All references to "we" in this policy refer to i0 Labs / Sarath Ramesh.

What Money Pi Offers

Money Pi is a digital service (a mobile application). We do not sell physical goods. The App is free to download and use, with an optional premium subscription:

• Free plan — Core expense and budget tracking, with a monthly cap on AI voice entries, supported by in-app advertising.
• Money Pi Pro — An auto-renewing subscription offered as a monthly plan and an annual plan, each with a 14-day free trial. Pro removes ads and raises AI usage limits. Current pricing is shown on the Google Play purchase screen at checkout in your local currency.

All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. We never collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed in your Google Play account.

Permissions We Request

The App requests the following device permissions:

• CAMERA — Used exclusively for scanning receipts and bills. Captured images are sent to our AI provider for text extraction to auto-fill expense fields, and are not stored on our servers.
• RECORD_AUDIO — Used exclusively for voice input, so you can add expenses hands-free. Audio is transcribed in real time and immediately discarded. No audio recordings are stored.

Data We Collect

The App does not collect personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it (for example, if you create an account to sync). The following summarizes what is processed:

• Budget & expense data — Stored locally on your device. If you sign in to enable optional cloud sync, this data is stored securely under your account.
• Account details — If you choose to sign in (via Google or email), we process your email address to authenticate you.
• Camera images & voice audio — Captured temporarily for receipt scanning and speech-to-text, sent to our AI provider for processing, and not retained afterward.
• Diagnostics — Anonymous crash and error reports (via Sentry) to help us fix bugs. These do not include your financial records.
• Advertising — On the free plan, ads are served via Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier as described in Google's policies.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of trusted third-party services, each only for its stated purpose:

• Google Play Billing — Processes all in-app purchases and subscriptions. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — Powers receipt parsing, voice transcription, and budget insights. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — Serves ads on the free plan. See Google's Ads Policy.
• Sentry — Anonymous crash/error diagnostics. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal or financial data, and we do not share it with data brokers.

Data Retention & Security

Your budget and expense data lives on your device unless you enable optional cloud sync. Camera and audio inputs are transient — they exist only for the duration of the AI processing request. You can request deletion of any account data at any time by contacting us.

We recommend keeping your device and the App updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.

Children's Privacy

Money Pi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
